KyberVision Unveils 64-bit Versions of all Psykinematix Editions

Psykinematix 64-bit Editions: The world most advanced software solution for Visual Psychophysics & Vision Sciences!

SENDAI, Japan — October 29, 2019 —KyberVision Japan LLC unveiled today several major updates to Psykinematix, its macOS-only OpenGL-based software dedicated to Visual Psychophysics & Vision Sciences. The signed & notarized 64-bit versions are a 2-year-long effort that brings the critical compatibility with macOS 10.15 ("Catalina"). All updates are free to ensure a smooth transition for all our customers.

Psykinematix v1.9 Student & Standard 64-bit Editions are an incremental free update that brings bug fixes, improvements, and more important 64-bit compatibility with Apple's Mac OS X 10.7 ("Lion") to the latest macOS 10.15 (Catalina).

Psykinematix v2.4 GPU 64-bit Edition is an incremental free update that brings bug fixes, improvements, and more important 64-bit compatibility with Apple's Mac OS X 10.7 ("Lion") to the latest macOS 10.15 (Catalina). The GPU Edition takes advantages of the computation power (GPU Computing) available in modern graphics cards. Their computation power is harvested without any additional work from the end-user: built-in and custom stimuli can be generated on the fly and in real-time hence minimizing the amount of required video RAM and freeing the CPU for more important tasks.

The Bits#/Display++ Edition is the result from a fruitful and continuing collaboration between Cambridge Research Systems (UK), Namoto Trading (Japan) and KyberVision Japan LLC: it brings support for the Bits# Stimulus Processor, Display++ LCD Monitor and accessories from Cambridge Research Systems which specializes in bringing to market the best hardware solutions for vision science.

Metropsis v2.4 64-bit Edition is an incremental free update that brings bug fixes, improvements, and more important 64-bit compatibility with Apple's Mac OS X 10.7 ("Lion") to the latest macOS 10.15 (Catalina). The Metropsis Edition of Psykinematix is Cambridge Research Systems' new version of their visual function assessment suite for Clinical Research for macOS. It resulted from another fruitful collaboration between Cambridge Research Systems and KyberVision who brought together their expertise in software, hardware, and clinical development for Vision Science. Metropsis for macOS is in use at multiple clinical sites in the UK, USA, Japan, Canada, France, Germany and Portugal.
